Biography: Professor Jiang is the University Dean of International (China) at Cardiff University. After graduated from Peking University Health Science Centre (previously Beijing Medical University) in clinical medicine, he practised general surgery in Peking First Hospital, before joining Cardiff University where he completed his MD. He has since worked in Cardiff as a research Fellow, Senior Lecturer and appointed as Professor in surgery and tumour biology since 2004. He is the Director of Cardiff University – Peking University Joint Cancer Institute at Cardiff. He is also an honorary professor at Peking University and Capital Medical University. He is a fellow at the Royal Society of Medicine, Royal Society of Biology and the Learned Society of Wales. He was awarded MBE in Queen’s New Year Honour list in recognition his contribution to international cancer research. Professor Jiang’s research interest is cancer in particular in the area of cancer metastasis, genetic evaluation of prognosis, angiogenesis and novel therapies in cancer.
